Primary Colors

The basic definition of Primary Colors is, the three colors from which all other colors can be created.  These three colors can vary.  The three primary colors which most people are familiar with are the colors that are used in painting, blue, red, and yellow.  However, in process color, the three primary process colors are yellow, magenta (red), and cyan (blue).  In light (projection television), the three primary colors are red, green, and blue (RGB).

Proofing Your Copy For Errors

Simple proofreading guidelines:

1. Run your spell check program - What an easy thing to forget to do.  Be careful with homonyms.
2. Print it out - This gives you an opportunity to proofread your copy in a different context.
3. Read it backwards - not the words (sdrow) but, start at the end of the copy and read to the beginning.
4. Read it out loud - read and pronunciate each word as it is written.
5. Have someone else read your copy.  Tell them that they are helping to proofread your copy.  Usually , you will get very constructive feedback.

Years ago we founded our sign company on "one off" sign production.  Since then SS Graphics Inc. has grown into a large scale sign and screen printing production facility.  However, at SignOutfitters.com we continue to focus on providing advertising and marketing solutions to the small business customer.  Gary Smiddy leads the team that meets these customers needs.  Smiddy has been with www.signoutfitters.com for nearly 3 years. Gary has lead our vinyl sign production and vinyl installation team since joining SS Graphics Inc. in 2004. Gary and his wife Linda reside in Wyandotte, Michigan. This sign is from the queing area of the new Animal Kingdom ride, Expedition Everest.  The really cool thing about this sign is that it is probably only 60 days old.  This picture was taken during the Expedition Everest ride soft opening.

Flex Change Letter Sizes

When ordering plastic sign letters the panel size and the imprinted letter height are required.

The panel size is the the measurement of the height of the clear plastic panel which the letter is printed on.  The most common size for Flex Change Letters is 8 inch letter imprinted on an 8 7/8 inch panel.  The most common style is Condensed.  The Condensed letter style allows for more letters per line of sign copy.  This size and style is shipped with all of our lighted portable roadside signs.

Condensed Flex Change Letters are also available in these sizes:  6 inch letter imprinted on a 6 7/8 inch plastic panel and 8 inch letter imprinted on a 8 1/2 inch plastic panel.

Flex Change Letters are also available in Block style.  Block is not used as often as condensed due to its characters per line limitations as opposed to condensed.  Block Flex Change Letters are available in these sizes:  4 inch letter imprinted on a 5 inch plastic panel, 6 inch letter imprinted on a 6 7/8 inch plastic panel, 8 inch letter imprinted on a 8 7/8 inch plastic panel, 8 inch letter imprinted on a 8 1/2 inch plastic panel, and 10 inch letter imprinted on a 10 7/8 inch plastic panel.
