Neon Color Warnings

Although we offer Neon Colors for our yard signs, we must warn you of a few things about these colors.  First, these colors begin to fade after 30 days if they are exposed to prolonged sunlight.  We also do not recommend that you choose a Neon color without using a dark background or a dark outline around it.  The final warning when choosing neon colors is do not choose to use yellow as your background color, the neon colors loose there effect on that.  Neon colors go great with black on white.  For additional yard sign information, please visit SignOutfitters.com.

Yard Signs

When sending artwork for Yard Signs, please try sending a file that is vector art. Vector file are usually created in Adobe Illustator or Corel Draw. If not, files other than vector, such as .jpg, .png, .tiff, .bmp, .doc, etc, will be used only for the purpose of seeing how you want  your layout to be.

We can not print from these files because they are pixilated, that is why we prefer vector art, in vector art pixilation or resolutions are not factors at all!

Vinyl History

The most versatile plastic had a rather humble beginning: A rubber scientist during the early 1920s stumbled onto a new material with fantastic properties during his search for a synthetic adhesive. Waldo Semon was intrigued with his finding, and experimented by making golf balls and shoe heels out of the versatile material called polyvinyl chloride, or PVC.

Manufacturing PVC began to spring up during the '30s to meet demand for the versatile material. Just a decade after its conception, PVC - commonly known as vinyl - was sought for a variety of industrial applications including gaskets and tubing!

Industries across the nation during the '40s, PVC manufacturers turned their attention to assisting the war effort. Vinyl-coated wire was widely used aboard U.S. military ships, replacing wire insulated with rubber. Vinyl manufacturers were working in high gear as World War II wound down, and they quickly found new markets for the durable plastic. Following the war, news of vinyl's versatility and flame-resistant properties spread, leading to dozens of commercial uses.

Five companies were making PVC at the century's midpoint, and innovative uses for vinyl continued to be found during the '50s and '60s. A vinyl-based latex was used on boots, fabric coatings and inflatable structures, and methods for enhancing vinyl's durability were refined, opening the door to applications in the building trades.

Vinyl is the second largest-selling plastic in the world, and the industry employs more than 100,000 people in the United States alone. Vinyl's low cost, versatility and performance make it the material of choice for dozens of industries such as health care, communications, aerospace, automotive, retailing, textiles and construction. Rigid as pipe or pliable as plastic wrap, vinyl is a leading material of the 21st century.

Advertising Campaign: Tidbits

Have you ever been coming out of your favorite diner and noticed the free papers by the register?  Then you might have seen a Tidbits newspaper.  Tidbits is franchise of little newspapers that are filled with short news stories from around that local area.  Tidbits are independently owned and operated, but can be found throughout the United States.  Many of these papers are sitting in coffee shops or coney islands waiting to be read.  SignOutfitters is currently running an ad campaign in the Tidbits papers.  The ad is just in the local Wyandotte area for now, but looking to expand the ad further very soon.  It is a great way to get them name out there for some people.  So next time you are paying for that meal, pick up a Tidbits are read what's inside, oh and look for a SignOutfitters ad while your at it. 

Rolling Thunder!

We always knew that our magnetic signs were a great way of advertising.  Buying a car sign really helps to promote your business, especially if you use Dallas Barker's way of advertising.  Dallas owns a lawn service company in Virginia.  On his trailer he is including all sorts of magnets from local buinesses.  He calls his trailer Rolling Thunder and is a great way to advertise business.  Being a local business guy, Dallas drives his trailer to local sporting events and parks it, for all to see.  You never know where Rolling Thunder might end up!  Looking to advertise give Dallas a call at 434-589-8414.

More Yard Sign Color Choices

SS Graphics Inc. offers an expanded color palette for screen printed yard sign production.

There now is 20 standard color choices with Pantone Matching available for an additional fee.

SS Graphics is also offering four neon color options.  Neon colors are bright fluorescent like colors.

Please note, neon colors will begin to fade after 30 days if exposed to prolonged sunlight.  Also, one color neon signs are not recommended.  A dark background is suggested for better readability
